Overview

GUI (gui.now) ("we", "us", "our") provides an API that turns HTML into shareable links. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about what data we collect.

What We Collect

  • Canvas content — The HTML you submit via our API is stored to serve the generated page. Canvases expire automatically after their TTL (default: 24 hours).
  • API keys — If you create an account, we store a hashed version of your API key for authentication.
  • Usage metadata — We log request timestamps, response codes, and content size for rate limiting and abuse prevention. We do not log IP addresses long-term.
  • Analytics — We use Vercel Analytics, PostHog, and Google Analytics to understand how the site is used. These services may set cookies. See their respective privacy policies for details.

What We Don't Do

  • We do not sell your data to third parties.
  • We do not use your canvas content to train AI models.
  • We do not collect personal information beyond what's needed to operate the service.

Data Retention

Canvas content is stored for the duration of its TTL (time-to-live), which defaults to 24 hours and can be set up to a maximum defined by your plan. After expiry, content is permanently deleted. Usage logs are retained for up to 90 days.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Vercel — hosting and edge delivery
  • Supabase — database and authentication
  • PostHog — product analytics
  • Google Analytics — site analytics

Cookies

The GUI API itself does not set cookies. Our landing page and analytics providers may set cookies for analytics purposes. You can disable cookies in your browser settings.

Your Rights

You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us. Canvas content is automatically deleted after expiry. If you have an account, you can delete it and all associated data.
